The artist himself and his gallery owner Kirsten Roschlaub will be on site. About the artist:
How to show history? Josef Fischnaller, born in 1964 in Austria, photographs history. With his camera, he puts people – friends, acquaintances and celebrities – into a historical context. He photographs today into yesterday and brings yesterday into the present. The result is the unexpected: Both work in both times. Fischnaller stages, he shines with colorful opulence and richness of detail. Thus, his photographs are a refreshing contraindication to contemporary photographic art. His works show amazingly that photography is in no way inferior to painting.
POP-UP Gallery Roschlaub at Satellite Office, Zurich
Together, Hamburg gallery owner Kirsten Roschlaub and entrepreneur Anita Gödiker create a very special setting for Josef Fischnaller’s works. Very private and yet open to the public. Anita Gödiker, Managing Director of Satellite Office, provides the impressive premises of the luxurious business and coworking space in the heart of Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse. Kirsten Roschlaub presents Josef Fischnaller there, who makes art hearts beat faster. “Star” of the exhibition is “Lucretia”, a photographic realization of the historical “Lucretia” by Lucas Cranach from 1525, which looks like a painting.

Anita Gödiker has been in business for over twenty years as an entrepreneur with Satellite Office. For just as long, she has been concerned with political, cultural and social issues in our society. The joint project of Satellite Office, Josef Fischnaller, the Roschlaub Gallery has been brought to life with a lot of heart and enthusiasm from all sides. The exhibition will open in private on November 30 at 6:00 pm. Journalists are exclusively invited to a pre-opening at 17.30h.
