So now it starts again, the new round of our Female Founders Award, called #ffa for short. I am happy that we can make this possible again this year, because, as you can guess, there is a lot of passion and conviction behind the award, but also a large work package: In marketing, online campaigns are planned, photo shoots carried out, concepts for advertisements, graphics and intensive press work. When the applications arrive, I read each one, evaluate it and pass it on to the jury. A big award ceremony and the occupation of the new workplaces by the winners conclude the award. At this stage, however, marketing is crucial! After all, we want as many women as possible to know about it! And we can only do that if we spread the word as widely as possible. For the kick-off in November we have come up with something very special: A vintage car ride through the capital with Berlin icon Heidi Hetzer and her companion “Hudo”, auctioned by me for the benefit of IIC Innocence in Danger. Hudo” was flanked by my three oldtimers: Käthy -beetle, Bella-Isabella Borgward and Bucky-Volvo. Our ride over the Kudamm, past the Tiergarten and back over the 17.Juni caused quite a stir. The stop at the Brandenburg Gate with all my classic cars was particularly emotional. Pure Passion!
We were also able to win Heidi Hetzer for the #ffa jury this year. As full-blooded entrepreneurs, we are not only connected by a long-standing friendship but also by the drive to “create something” and our passion for classic cars. Heidi Hetzer was and is an entrepreneur with heart and soul, circumnavigated the world with vintage car “Hudo” and motivates women to dare to do something.
At this point my call: Women, dare to do something! The three winners of the #femalefoundersaward will receive a starter package including a company address, workspace and meeting room from Satellite Office. Consulting services on marketing and tax issues round out the package. In total, the winnings have a material value of over EUR 55,000. Besides Satellite Office, the sponsors of the award are DEBA for the marketing package and Consultia for the tax consulting package.
